The best news is that it rarely snows and there are generally no ice
storms. We do experience the change of seasons. The leaves turn and fall from the hardwood trees,
but everything else stays green including most of the lawns. Frost happens occasionally and the
temperature may get down into the teens once in a while. During the summer the temperature may rise to
near 100 F and the humidity may feel like 100%, but there is generally a nice breeze off the ocean to make it
more comfortable. Compared to the weather to the north and south of here, this island is a great choice
for year-round living conditions.
